PAST WORK & INTERNSHIPS
Ember Television - Visual Designer
August 2016 - July 2017
"Kent is a committed and enthusiastic Visual Designer. He was eager to learn and was constantly striving to develop his skills. He has a particular talent for visualising big ideas in engaging and consistent ways across different mediums, which is no easy feat. His work was always high-quality, he has great ideas and a wicked sense of humour. All of this combines to make him a great all-round guy to work with. Highly recommended."

Gamrick - Graphics & Illustration Work
December 2015
"I recently contacted Kent with a request to produce designs for our product and a two minute animation video explaining our product. Unfortunately our request had to be completed within a week which we understood that it was a very short timeline. However Kent managed to complete the project with one day to spare for any amendments that needed to be made! He was very professional throughout the entire process, updating me on any changes that he thought would improve the designs so that I could make an informed decision. He introduced a lot of innovative designs that we ended up using in our product. By consistently updating me, I did not have to worry about the process as I knew exactly which stage we were at, at any given time. He was extremely reliable, efficient and experienced. I will be reusing his service in the near future."

Bearded Fellows - Multimedia Internship (Film & Animation)
Beardedfellows.co.uk
August - September 2015
"Kent Lau joined Bearded Fellows creative team for four weeks of the summer in 2015. He worked on a variety of projects that needed a wide range of skills including, illustration, storyboarding, rotoscoping and creative thinking. Kent showed a professional and determined attitude towards the tasks he was given. He communicated clearly with the rest of the team and was not scared of trying something new. Kent was an asset to the company over his short period of time with us and we would happily welcome him back."

- Matthew Stanners, Creative Director
Seal Films - Production Assistant Internship
June - July 2015
"Kent Lau joined us in July as a junior member of our camera and lighting team on the short film "Everything Must Be In The Air". It was clear from the start he was going to be a valuable member of the crew as he took direction very well but more importantly had bags of initiative. Kent was a very fast learner and soon became useful as a problem solver offering his input when asked. Since the the short film I've worked on a number of corporate projects with Kent and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him on anything in the future. His ability to pick up any task at hand very quickly within a production is key to his ongoing success and I can see him doing very well in the not too distant future!"
